Protesters set Minister Gurung’s residence on fire

KATHMANDU: Security sources report that a group of protesters gathered earlier today in front of the residence of Communications, Information, and Technology Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung and staged a demonstration.

During the protest, the angry crowd initially began throwing stones and subsequently set fire to parts of the property.

Police have arrived at the scene and are working to bring the situation under control.
