Presidential Platinum Cap for top run-scorer in NPL Season 2
According to the college, the player scoring the highest runs in each match will receive the Platinum Cap for that day.
KATHMANDU: The Presidential Graduate School, affiliated with Westcliff University (USA) and located in Thapagaun, Baneshwor, has announced that it will honour standout performers of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2 with the ‘Presidential Platinum Cap’.
According to the college, the player scoring the highest runs in each match will receive the Platinum Cap for that day.
At the end of the tournament, the overall top run-scorer will be formally awarded the Platinum Cap during the final match, said College President Laxman KC.
In collaboration with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the cap will serve as a symbol of excellence, with each day’s recipient required to wear the Platinum Cap during their next match.
Earlier in the tournament, players Adam Rossington, Mark Watt, and Ravi Bopara were among those who wore the cap after leading the run charts.
At present, Adam Rossington of Pokhara Avengers holds the top spot for most runs and is the current Platinum Cap holder.
The college, the official education partner of NPL since its inception, also plans to offer a special gift to the tournament’s highest run-scorer after the final.
Providing management education for over 15 years—and IT programs for the past five—the Presidential Graduate School says sports play a vital role in strengthening youth confidence and capabilities.
With this belief, the college introduced the Platinum Cap initiative to add extra motivation and enthusiasm for players competing in the NPL.
