President Poudel dissolves NA session

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has ended the current session of the National Assembly, effective from midnight on Falgun 1.

According to a statement issued by President Poudel’s spokesperson Ritesh Kumar Shakya, the decision was made under Article 93(2) of the Constitution of Nepal, following the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on Magh 26.

The 19th session of the National Assembly had commenced on Magh 4.
