PM Shah to meet 23 European envoys again
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balen Shah is set to hold a second joint meeting with ambassadors and diplomats from 23 European countries on Tuesday, continuing his unconventional diplomatic outreach style.
Shah will meet the delegation collectively, a departure from the traditional practice of one-on-one diplomatic engagements, a move that previously drew attention and praise for its efficiency and symbolism.
The visiting diplomatic group includes ambassadors and deputy heads of mission from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.
Officials say the meeting is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation, development partnerships, and broader European engagement with Nepal.
