Parliamentary Probe Committee meeting held in New Baneshwar with Speaker’s participation

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the parliamentary committee formed to investigate the misappropriation of funds of cooperatives was held today.
A week after the formation of the committee, a meeting is being held at the Shankar Hall of the Parliament Building in New Baneshwar.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire also participated in the meeting which started after 2 pm.
A parliamentary special committee was formed on May 28 to investigate the misappropriation of funds in cooperatives.
The committee was given three months to investigate 29 cooperatives where citizens’ funds were misused.
UML’s Surya Thapa is the coordinator of the committee.
Sarita Bhusal of UML, Badri Pandey and Ishwari Neupane from the main opposition Congress.
Lekhnath Dahal from Maoist, Shishir Khanal from RSP and Dhruva Bahadur Pradhan from RPP are also members.
Arrangements have been made with offices and staff at the Singha Durbar.
