Oli vows Congress–UML alliance to last until 2084 elections

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reaffirmed that the ruling coalition between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML will continue until the 2084 BS elections.

Addressing Wednesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Oli accused opposition parties of promoting instability for personal gain rather than for the nation or political stability.

“What is this support for instability for? Certainly not for the country or political stability—it cannot be. Regardless of their wishes for instability, the current political alliance will continue until the 2084 elections. We have reached a consensus on this,” he stated.

Oli also stressed that democratic parties must play a role in safeguarding the current system.
