KATHMANDU: Manchester City secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday in the English Premier League, thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Matheus Nunes.

Nunes struck in the fourth minute of injury time, converting a precise pass from Jérémy Doku to score his first Premier League goal for City.
Pep Guardiola’s men dominated the game and were finally rewarded for their pressure.
City took an early lead in the 7th minute when Bernardo Silva capitalized on a mistake by Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to open the scoring.
However, Villa responded quickly. After Rúben Dias fouled Jacob Ramsey inside the box, Marcus Rashford equalized from the penalty spot in the 18th minute.
In the second half, City intensified their attack. Omar Marmoush did find the net, but his goal was ruled offside.
Villa’s defense managed to hold off City until injury time, when they finally conceded the winner.
With this result, Manchester City move to third place in the table with 61 points, one point ahead of fourth-placed Nottingham Forest and two ahead of fifth-placed Newcastle United, both of whom have played a game more.
Aston Villa remain in seventh place, trailing the top five by just two points.
