NPL: Two matches today

KATHMANDU: There are two cricket matches being played today under the ongoing 2nd edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The Kirtipur-based TU International Cricket Ground is hosting two matches.
The first match will be played at 11:45 am between defending champion Janakpur Bolts and Biratnagar Kings and the second at 4:00 this afternoon between Sudurpaschim Royals and Karnali Yaks.
Janakpur Bolts under the captainship of Anil Sah was defeated with five wickets by Kathmandu Gorkhas in the first match.
Biratnagar Kings is playing under Captain Sandeep Lamichhane and is on its target for the third uninterrupted victory today.
Earlier, Biratnagar Kings defeated Pokhara Avengers in the first match and Kathmandu Gorkhas in the second match.
Likewise, Sudurpaschim Royals led by Dipendra Singh Airee is facing Karnali Yaks under the captainship of Sompal Kami late this afternoon.
NPL 2025 Standings
A total of eight matches have been completed in NPL 2025 so far.
Janakpur Bolts have played only one match, while Kathmandu Gorkhas have featured in three.
All other teams have played two matches each.
After winning both of their matches, Sudurpashchim Royals and Biratnagar Kings sit first and second respectively with 4 points, with Sudurpashchim leading on net run rate.
With one win and one loss from two matches, Karnali Yaks, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Gorkhas, and Lumbini Lions occupy the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth spots.
Janakpur Bolts, who lost their only match, are placed seventh, while Pokhara Avengers, defeated in both their games, sit at the bottom in eighth.
