Nikita claims husband Rabi’s life is in danger
Posting on social media, Poudel wrote that she had even knocked on the doors of the Butwal High Court in search of justice.
KATHMANDU: Nikita Poudel, wife of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, has expressed serious concern over her husband’s safety, saying his life is not secure.
Posting on social media, Poudel wrote that she had even knocked on the doors of the Butwal High Court in search of justice.
She quoted Lamichhane as saying, “The separation of powers in this country ended long ago; stop counting the different heads of the same Ravana.” However, she stressed that, as his wife, she is determined to continue seeking justice: “Whether justice is delivered or not, I will knock on every legal door inside and outside the country, as guaranteed by the constitution and law.”
Poudel further alleged that her husband was kept in poor conditions at Bhairahawa prison and questioned the government’s intentions behind refusing to transfer him.
She criticized the authorities for allegedly misusing power, filing false cases, and threatening Lamichhane even from the parliament floor.
“My demand is simple—determine the bail amount and allow him to fight the case from outside prison,” Poudel appealed.
