KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank has requested all its customers to promptly update their Permanent Account Number (PAN) and email address in their bank accounts to ensure proper tax compliance and smooth service delivery.

The bank stated that PAN details are mandatory for linking tax deduction records under Nepal’s Income Tax Act, 2058, as per the system introduced by the Inland Revenue Department under the Ministry of Finance.

Customers can update their PAN through the bank’s portal panupdate.nicasiabank.com or via the NIC ASIA MoBank mobile banking app by selecting the “PAN Update” option.

Alternatively, customers may also visit any branch of the bank to submit an application for updating their PAN details.

The bank emphasized that PAN registration is essential for reflecting tax deducted at source (E-TDS) on interest payments. Once updated, the system will automatically integrate tax records into the customer’s PAN, enabling easier access to tax clearance certificates and reducing the need to visit bank branches.

NIC Asia Bank also encouraged customers to update their email addresses through its video KYC platform or the MoBank app by accessing the “My Profile” section and selecting the “Change Email” option. This service is also available at all branch offices.

The bank further requested customers who have already submitted PAN details but have not seen them reflected in E-TDS records, or those who have not updated their email, to contact the nearest branch or call its customer service center at 1660-01-77771 or 01-5970101 for assistance.
