NIC Asia Bank supports Sahara Home in Kailali with essential facilities
Sahara Home currently provides shelter and care to 97 individuals, including children, women, persons with disabilities, and elderly people.
KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank has provided essential infrastructure support to “Sahara Home,” operated by Asahaya Ka Lagi Sahayogi Haath Nepal, located in Ward No. 2 of Bardagoriya Rural Municipality, Kailali, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The bank has supplied dining tables, benches, and a water dispenser to improve living conditions and ensure access to clean drinking water for the residents of the shelter home.
Sahara Home currently provides shelter and care to 97 individuals, including children, women, persons with disabilities, and elderly people.
The materials were formally handed over on March 9 during a program by NIC Asia Bank’s Circle Head for Dhangadhi, Deepak Bista, to the institution’s chairperson, Bal Bahadur Bista.
The bank stated that the support is aimed at making the living environment more comfortable and healthier for the residents who depend on the shelter for food, accommodation, and care.
NIC Asia Bank also highlighted its ongoing social contributions, including providing educational materials to students at Shanti Sewa Griha, offering scholarships to underprivileged and marginalized students across all seven provinces from grades 6 to 10, and supporting the establishment of libraries in various government and community schools.
Over the years, the bank has consistently implemented CSR programs focused on education, infrastructure, and social welfare initiatives across Nepal.
