NEPSE records slight dip; Ridi Power leads gains

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a minor decline today, dropping by 0.04 points to settle at 2,662.09.
A total of 329 companies were traded, with 22,282,050 shares exchanged over 82,450 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs 8,692,250,855, NEPSE reported.
Sector-wise, banking rose 0.10%, development banks 0.18%, hydropower 0.47%, investment 0.07%, and non-life insurance 0.08%.
Other sectors declined, with finance down 0.25%, hotels and tourism 0.63%, life insurance 0.23%, manufacturing and processing 0.46%, microfinance 0.06%, mutual funds 0.36%, trading 0.23%, and other sectors 0.24%.
Among the traded companies, 113 saw their share prices rise, 133 declined, and 13 remained unchanged.
Ridi Power Company Limited recorded the highest gain, rising 9.67%, while Super Mai Hydropower Limited experienced the steepest fall of 0.39%.
In terms of trading volume and value, Ridi Power Company Limited led the market, with 20,30,944 shares worth Rs 65,47,66,572 traded.
