KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by double digits on Thursday, shedding 13.35 points to close at 2,635.95.
A total of 10.63 million shares of 323 companies were traded through 72,474 transactions, generating a total turnover of Rs 5.17 billion.
During the session, sub-indices of the finance and trading groups posted marginal gains, while all other sectoral indices ended in the red.
In individual stocks, Narayani Development Bank Limited emerged as the top gainer, with its share price rising by 6.08 percent.
Meanwhile, SY Panel Nepal Limited recorded the sharpest decline of the day, plunging 8.45 percent.
