NEPSE index drops 9.43 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 9.43 points today, closing at 2,705.38.

A total of 324 companies saw 21.64 million shares traded across 89,766 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs 892.36 crore, NEPSE reported.

Among sectoral indices, the Others category was the only gainer, rising 0.26%, while all other groups recorded losses.

• Hotels & Tourism: -1.88%

• Hydropower: -0.03%

• Investments: -0.64%

• Life Insurance: -0.36%

• Manufacturing & Processing: -0.46%

• Mutual Funds: -0.65%

• Non-life Insurance: -0.30%

• Trading: -1.21%

Kalika Power Company Limited led the gainers with a 9.84% surge in share price, while Gurans Microfinance Financial Institution Limited recorded the steepest drop at 5.89%.

In terms of turnover, Aankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited topped the chart, with 18.8 million shares traded, amounting to Rs 43.36 crore.
