KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a marginal gain on Tuesday, rising by 1.37 points to close at 2,585.87.

A total of 7.22 million shares of 334 listed companies were traded through 62,768 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs 3.22 billion.

Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. emerged as the top gainer of the day, with its share price surging by 5.32 percent.

In contrast, Grameen Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. recorded the steepest decline, falling by 4.26 percent.

In terms of trading value, SY Panel Nepal Ltd. led the market with shares worth Rs 144.9 million exchanged.

Meanwhile, Terhathum Power Company Ltd. topped the chart by volume, with 262,585 shares traded during the session.
