KATHMANDU: The benchmark index of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) posted a marginal gain on Wednesday, rising by 0.08 points to close at 2,705.53.

However, the sensitive index, which measures the performance of large-cap companies, declined by 0.20 points to 464.43.

A total of 352 companies were traded during the session, with 8.375 million shares changing hands, generating a total turnover of over Rs 3.63 billion.

Among the most actively traded companies, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited topped the list, followed by Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Bungl Hydro Limited, Central Finance Limited, and Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Limited.

In terms of gainers, investors of Sopana Pharmaceuticals Limited, Apollo Hydropower Limited, Bungl Hydro, Trishuli Hydropower Company Limited, and ABL Debenture made gains.

Meanwhile, losses were recorded in NMB Debenture, Prime Debenture, ABS Debenture, Dolti Power Company Limited, and Laxmi Unnati Kosh.
