NEPSE drops by double digits

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s stock market saw further losses on Tuesday, with the NEPSE Index falling 10.25 points following Monday’s 26.05-point decline.

The overall index closed at 2,662.14 points, down 0.34% from the previous day.

Of the companies traded, 74 saw their share prices rise, 179 recorded declines, and 7 remained unchanged.

Trading volume reached 21.7 million shares across 8.9 million transactions, amounting to Rs 861.64 crore in total turnover.

This was lower than Monday’s turnover of Rs 1,077.39 crore.

Among the 13 sub-sectors traded, all except Mutual Funds and Trading saw their indices fall, adding pressure on the overall Nepse to register a double-digit drop.
