NEPSE drops 20.75 points as most sectors decline
A total of 354 companies saw 20.559 million shares traded across 83,075 transactions, amounting to Rs 836.44 crore in turnover, according to NEPSE.
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell sharply today, dropping 20.75 points to close at 2,642.15.

Sector-wise, mutual funds and trading subgroups edged up slightly by 0.56% and 0.22% respectively, while all other sectors experienced losses.
The declines were as follows: banking -0.45%, development banks -1.18%, finance -2.11%, hotels & tourism -1.19%, hydropower -1.63%, investment -0.81%, manufacturing & processing -0.73%, microfinance -0.50%, non-life insurance -0.75%, and others -0.58%.
Today, Salapa Development Bank Ltd. hit the positive circuit, while Super Mai Hydropower Ltd. triggered a negative circuit.
In terms of trading volume and turnover, Ridi Power Company Ltd. led the market with 1,599,384 shares exchanged, totaling Rs 53.36 crore.
