NC Vice President Khadka urges swift passage of Citizenship Bill

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka has called for the swift passage of the citizenship-related bill currently under discussion.

Speaking at Tuesday’s meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Khadka emphasized the need for clarity on the intent of the amendment to the Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063. “The bill brought by the government must clearly outline what it seeks to address and should be passed without delay,” he stated.

Khadka also stressed the importance of promptly introducing provisions regarding Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) within the bill.
