NC President Thapa urges unity, extends Maha Shivaratri wishes
Thapa extended his greetings, emphasizing that religious and cultural festivals play a vital role in preserving and promoting Nepal’s indigenous traditions and cultural heritage.
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has stated that festivals awaken spiritual consciousness in human life and convey messages of harmony, tolerance, and unity.
On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, Thapa extended his greetings, emphasizing that religious and cultural festivals play a vital role in preserving and promoting Nepal’s indigenous traditions and cultural heritage.
He said, “Maha Shivaratri, celebrated by Hindus with deep devotion, faith, and reverence to Lord Shiva, is a sacred festival closely linked with our religious and cultural life.”
Thapa highlighted that Nepal is a nation rich in diverse ethnicities, languages, religions, and cultures, and festivals like Maha Shivaratri strengthen the spirit of unity in diversity, fostering mutual respect, cooperation, and national solidarity among all Nepalis.
On this auspicious occasion, he wished everyone happiness, peace, prosperity, and continuous progress, hoping that Lord Shiva’s blessings inspire positive energy, courage, and guidance on the path of righteousness.
