NAIMA provides emergency support to transport & traffic authorities

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has successfully completed the formal handover of emergency assistance to the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) and the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police, which were severely affected during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 23-24.
The handover ceremony on Tuesday was attended by NAIMA Chair Ritu Singh Vaidya, Board Member Yamuna Shrestha, and Executive Director Rajkumar Dulal.
DoTM Director General Rajiv Pokharel expressed deep appreciation for NAIMA’s support, noting that it enabled the department to resume services from its office during a critical period. Similarly, Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police, Senior Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari, praised the institutional and member-level assistance provided by NAIMA.

He highlighted the organization’s rapid establishment of long-term cooperation with the traffic office, describing it as a reliable partner in traffic management and education.
President Vaidya said NAIMA is proud to contribute in times of crisis and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with public service agencies in the future.
Executive Director Dulal detailed the assistance, which included repairing all windows and doors of DoTM’s main building in Minbhawan and providing furniture, fittings, computers, and printers to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police office.
