The Ministry of Forests and Environment officially enforced the Euro-6 standard through the Nepal Gazette on Ashad 9, 2082.
KATHMANDU: The Automobile Association of Nepal (NADA) has released information regarding the implementation of the Nepal Vehicle Emission Standard 2082 (Euro-6).
The Ministry of Forests and Environment officially enforced the Euro-6 standard through the Nepal Gazette on Ashad 9, 2082.
Considering its impact on industries and businesses, the Ministry of Finance issued an interim arrangement on Ashoj 10, 2082, NADA stated.
Under this decision, vehicles with proforma invoices issued before the Euro-6 implementation, vehicles assembled or produced domestically, and vehicles for which required parts have already been used, may be cleared under the previous standard until Mangsir 15.
NADA has requested importers and businesses to complete customs inspections for all remaining vehicles within the specified timeframe.
The association also noted its continuous communication with the Ministries of Forests and Environment and Finance to facilitate the implementation of this arrangement.
