KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting has been adjourned until 12:15 PM on Wednesday after opposition lawmakers continued to disrupt proceedings, demanding an apology from Prime Minister Balen Shah over his controversial remarks that Nepal has also encroached on parts of India.
The Tuesday session was obstructed once again as lawmakers stood in protest, insisting that the Prime Minister retract his statement and apologize.
Lawmakers also criticized PM Shah, accusing him of lacking basic political maturity.
With the continuous uproar and stalled proceedings, the Chair announced the adjournment of the House.
