KATHMANDU: Federal Parliament Secretariat today honoured Member of Parliament Mingma Gyabu Sherpa at Singha Durbar for completing his 10th ascent of Mount Everest while carrying the official flag and logo of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The recognition ceremony was attended by Speaker DP Aryal, Deputy Speaker Rabi Kumari Thakur, and Chair of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, who jointly felicitated the MP for his remarkable achievement.

During the expedition, Sherpa proudly carried the parliamentary flag to the summit of Mount Everest, symbolizing national pride and institutional representation at the world’s highest peak.

Sherpa, who represents the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) under the proportional representation system, stated that this was his 10th successful Everest climb, marking another milestone in his mountaineering career alongside his political responsibilities.
