KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) has released its election manifesto, emphasizing the need for state economic policies that uplift the poor and reduce the gap between rich and poor.
At a press conference held today, the party, represented by General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav,’ presented its manifesto ahead of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.
Participating in the elections for the first time since returning to peaceful politics, the party pledged to end capitalist, broker-driven, and imperialist policies and culture, aiming to bridge the widening socio-economic divide.
General Secretary Chand highlighted key priorities, including universal access to education and healthcare, guaranteed employment, and strict regulation of the private sector to prevent arbitrary pricing and exploitation.
