Mahanta Thakur files National Assembly nomination from Madhesh
Thakur registered his candidacy at the Office of the Election Officer for Madhesh Province.
KATHMANDU: Chairperson of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Nepal (LSP-N), Mahanta Thakur has filed his nomination for the National Assembly election from Madhesh Province under the “Others” category.
Thakur registered his candidacy at the Office of the Election Officer for Madhesh Province.
LSP provincial assembly member Jaynul Rayin has been named as the proposer, while provincial assembly member and Madhesh Province’s Minister for Education and Culture, Rani Kumari Tiwari, is the supporter.
Meanwhile, the Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal and the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party have already decided to unify.
A total of four National Assembly seats are up for election in Madhesh Province, including Dalit, Minority/Differently-Abled, Women, and Others categories.
The electorate in the province comprises 370 voters—104 from the provincial assembly and 266 from local levels.
