Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank completes various CSR programs

KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, has successfully conducted various programs across multiple sectors—including financial literacy, education, health, disaster management, environmental conservation, cultural promotion, infrastructure development, sustainable development goals, and humanitarian services—during the first and second quarters (Kartik and Mangsir months) of the fiscal year 2082/83.

Under these initiatives, the bank provided financial support for a comprehensive health camp and non-communicable disease prevention workshop for senior citizens in Humla district, organized in collaboration with Jestha Nagarik Chautari, Thecho, Lalitpur.

Additionally, in Bhadra, the bank donated five computer sets and five tables to the Seven Dobhato Police Station, damaged during the protest, to support their daily administrative operations.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank also contributed to an integrated community development and research program in Simkot, Humla, extending support to 65 households in Adanchuli Rural Municipality-1.

The initiative targeted marginalized groups including Dalits, bonded laborers (Halai, Ligi, Khallo), orphans, single women, and single men, providing them with essential food supplies.

Furthermore, the bank funded the construction of modern toilet facilities in several schools—including Bhukruti and Shree Salyan Sukhora Secondary Schools in Baglung, Shree Prithvi and Shree Arniko Secondary Schools in Jhapa, and Shree Ganesh Surya Primary School—to ensure safe and convenient sanitation for students, in collaboration with various Rotary Clubs.

In Lalitpur’s Balkumari Primary School, 180 warm clothes were distributed to students to protect them from the winter cold.

Similarly, educational materials were provided to students in schools across Gorkha district, in partnership with Moonlight Society Nepal, Gorkha.

Through these diverse ISR initiatives, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank believes it is contributing meaningfully to the overall economic and social development of communities across Nepal.
