Maha Shivaratri hym festival at Chandragiri: 50% off after 4:30 PM

KATHMANDU: A Maha Shivaratri Bhajan festival featuring Pokhara’s famous youth bhajan (hymn) group is to be held at Chandragiri Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple.
The festival, held on Sunday, the sacred occasion of Maha Shivaratri, will feature devotional music performances from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The bhajan group, led by Uttam Baral and Jupiter Paudel, aims to elevate bhajan culture while providing participants a chance to both sing along and immerse themselves in devotional experiences.
In the evening, devotees will have the opportunity to witness the grand Shiva Dhuni ceremony followed by Maha Aarti, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the celebration.
To accommodate the influx of devotees, Chandragiri Cable Car will operate until 8 PM and offer a 50% discount on rides after 4:30 PM for those attending the Maha Aarti.
Organizers highlight that the festival is designed to strengthen the cultural and religious significance of Baleshwar Mahadev Temple.
