KATHMANDU: Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that Nepal’s communist movement is going through a serious crisis and facing grave challenges.

Speaking at a seminar on “Socialism with Nepali Characteristics in the Present Context” in Kathmandu on Monday, Nepal remarked that the current political scenario poses challenges not only for communist parties but for all political forces in the country.

He stressed that leaders must send positive messages to citizens and party cadres through public programs in order to confront the ongoing political crisis.

He further underlined the need to address internal disputes within party committees and move forward in a realistic manner.

Highlighting the urgency of strengthening party organization, Nepal said effective monitoring of the responsibilities entrusted to leaders is essential.

He directed party leaders and cadres to speak firmly in defense of the party and warned that no one will be allowed to undermine the party’s principles.

Nepal also issued a strong caution against attempts to spread negativity and weaken the party from within, stating that such tendencies would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
