KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chair Rajendra Lingden met Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane on Thursday morning at Lamichhane’s private residence in Hattigauda.

The meeting’s main purpose was to extend a formal invitation to Lamichhane for the upcoming Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day on Poush 27 (Jan 11), an annual national celebration organized by RPP.

Lingden invited him to attend the tea gathering and formal events planned for the occasion.

During the meeting, the leaders also discussed political matters, including preparations for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 (March 5), according to RPP spokesperson Mohankumar Shrestha.

They exchanged views on the current political scenario and election readiness.

Lingden has been actively meeting top political leaders ahead of the national celebrations.

On Wednesday night, he also visited Nepali Congress leader KP Sharma Oli at his residence in Gundu, inviting him to the Prithvi Jayanti event and discussing election strategies.

RPP will host the Prithvi Jayanti celebrations, including a tea program and greetings exchange, at Bhrikuti Mandap on Poush 27 (Jan 11).
