KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a target of 249 runs to UAE in the second match of the final triangular series under the ICC World Cup League Two.

Captain Rohit Poudel batted half-century for Nepal, scoring 77 runs in 112 balls and hitting nine fours.

Similarly, Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee scored 34 runs in 19 balls. Gulshan Jha scored 37 runs off 32 balls, while Aarif Sheikh scored 43 runs off 52 balls. Jha had three sixes and one four. Bhim Sarki also scored 29 runs in 37 balls.

Nepal lost three wickets in one ball in seven overs after losing their first wicket in the second over. Captain Rohit Paudel and Bhim Sarki shared a half-century for the fourth wicket. The fourth wicket fell for 76 runs.

Following the fourth wicket, Aarif Sheikh and Rohit Kumar Poudel, who came to the crease, put on a half-century partnership, and Nepal took a commanding lead.

For UAE, Zawar Farid, Rohan Mustafa, and Aayan Khan each took 2/2 wickets, while Aryan Lakra and Junaid Siddique each took 1/1.
