KATHMANDU: Priyank Panchal and William Bosisto starred with the bat as Karnali Yaks set a challenging 161-run target for Biratnagar Kings in the second match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Friday.

Electing to bat after winning the toss at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground, Karnali Yaks scored 160 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs.

Openers Panchal and Bosisto put together a match-defining partnership of 96 runs off 82 balls after Mark Watt was dismissed for 6 off 9 balls.

Panchal struck a fluent 63 off 47 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes, marking his second half-century of the tournament.

Bosisto remained unbeaten on 48 off 48 balls with 2 fours, while Najibullah Zadran scored 12* off 6 balls, hitting one six.

Gulshan Jha contributed 20 off 10 balls, including 2 fours and a six. Biratnagar captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Merchant de Lange claimed one wicket each.

Biratnagar Kings made three changes to their playing XI, bringing in Sahil Patel, Subash Bhandari, and Shehan Jayasurya in place of Surya Tamang, Naren Bhatta, and Shubham Ranjane.

However, Jayasurya sustained a leg injury in the field, reducing his chances of batting.

anjane is away in Dubai for the UAE ILT20 tournament.

Karnali also made one change, with Deepak Dumre taking over wicketkeeping duties from Arjun Gharti Magar.
