KATHMANDU: In the ongoing final league match of Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2, Karnali Yaks posted a target of 130 runs against Janakpur Bolts at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first after losing the toss, Karnali managed 129 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Janakpur bowlers dominated the innings, dismissing Karnali’s openers early. Mark Watt was sent back on the third ball of the second over after scoring 4 runs off 7 balls. His opening partner, Imran Sheikh, contributed 33 runs from 32 balls, including 1 four and 1 six.
Other notable contributions came from Priyank Panchal (33), Gulshan Jha (19), William Bosisto (15), Najibullah Zadran (13), Pawan Sarraf (1), and Arjun Gharti (4).
Bowling for Janakpur, Aditya Mehta and Lalit Rajbanshi took 2 wickets each, while Sangeet Kure, Anil Shah, and Maaz Sadaqat claimed 1 wicket apiece.
