Kailash Kher lends voice to ‘Shiva Tandav’ in Nepali film Shivansh
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, the singer said he was overwhelmed by the affection he has received from Nepali listeners over the years.
KATHMANDU: Globally acclaimed Indian singer Kailash Kher has lent his powerful voice to the devotional track ‘Shiva Tandav Stotram’ in the upcoming Nepali feature film Shivansh: Chapter-1, the production team has confirmed.
Scheduled for a nationwide release on Feb 13 (Falgun 1) to coincide with Mahashivaratri, Shivansh: Chapter-1 recently unveiled a new poster introducing its principal cast, including Prabin (Praveen) Khatiwada, Tej Giri, Rusa Neupane, Bimala Limbu, and Bikash Joshi.
To mark the occasion, Kher shared a special video message addressed to Nepali audiences, highlighting the deep cultural and emotional bonds between Nepal and India.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, the singer said he was overwhelmed by the affection he has received from Nepali listeners over the years.
“There are no words to express how grateful I am for the immense love Nepali fans have shown me and my songs,” Kher said, adding that Shivansh: Chapter-1 reflects the enduring friendship between the two countries. “Through the spirit of India–Nepal friendship, we have created a very beautiful ‘Tandav Stotram’, which I had the opportunity to sing.”
Presented by Anjan Cinema Production House, Shivansh: Chapter-1 marks the directorial debut of Santosh Kumar Atreya.
The film’s story is written by Anjan KC, with Barat Limbu handling the screenplay. Shobha Bhandari and Anish KC Bogati serve as co-producers.
The ensemble cast also includes Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary, Sabir Churoute, Uday Kumar Subba, and Tika Niraula.
Lyrics are penned by Biplob Pratik and Rajanraj Shiwakoti, while music is composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya and Rajanraj Siwakoti.
Additional vocals in the film are provided by Rajanraj Siwakoti, Milan Newar, and Samikshya Adhikari.
The technical team features Milan Shrestha as action director, Sarad Mahato as cinematographer, and Bikram Chauhan as choreographer.
