KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has initiated the construction of bus stops in the traditional “Falcha” style at key locations across the city.
This includes the newly constructed bus stop in the Bijuli Bazar area, which has already garnered attention for its attractive and artistic design.

The bus stop, built in the traditional architectural style, features artistic columns, beams, and intricate designs.

It is equipped with wooden benches for seating, and lights have been installed inside to provide illumination at night.

The Falcha-style bus stop enhances the aesthetic appeal of Bijuli Bazar, a location already known for its pleasant environment.

Resembling a traditional temple with its wooden structure and ornamental carvings, the bus stop is a blend of cultural heritage and functionality.

These Falcha-style bus stops are not limited to Bijuli Bazar alone. Similar constructions can be seen in other prominent areas such as Baneshwor, Koteshwor, and Babarmahal.

The initiative by Kathmandu Metropolitan City aims to preserve traditional craftsmanship while providing modern amenities for the city’s residents.
