IME Life supports free cataract surgeries for 100 patients in Janakpur

KATHMANDU: IME Life Insurance Company Limited, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has partnered with Matrika Eye Center to support free cataract surgeries for 100 economically disadvantaged patients in Janakpur.
The company has provided financial assistance of Rs. 600,000 for the program, which is expected to directly benefit 100 cataract patients from rural areas of Dhanusha and Mahottari districts.
Matrika Eye Center has long been active in delivering eye care services across various districts of Nepal, including cataract screening and surgical interventions.
Officials from both organizations expressed confidence that the collaboration will create a meaningful social impact by combining medical expertise with corporate support.
Khileendra Paudel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IME Life Insurance, said the company has been consistently contributing to health, education, and community development under its CSR commitments. He added that this initiative would bring new hope to underprivileged citizens at risk of losing their vision due to financial constraints.
Similarly, Suraj Shrestha, Chair of Matrika Eye Center, thanked IME Life Insurance for its support, stating that the program would positively transform the lives of hundreds of rural families.
