Match Shifted to Sri Lanka Over Security Concerns

All India–Pakistan matches in this tournament are being played in Sri Lanka after Pakistan declined to play in India, citing security concerns.

Although Pakistan Cricket Board had earlier expressed reluctance to face India, the Pakistani government later granted permission for the team to compete against India at neutral venues.

Earlier, Bangladesh also refused to play matches in India and was subsequently removed from the tournament.

Their place in the World Cup was taken by Scotland national cricket team.
