Govt announces Rs 500,000 prize for MFN Champion Dhat

KATHMANDU: The government has announced a cash reward of NPR 500,000 for Bantamweight Champion Ravindra Dhat from Bajhang, following his historic victory at Matrix Fight Night (MFN 17).

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli stated that Monday’s Cabinet meeting decided to grant Dhat Rs 500,000 and his coach Rs 200,000 as encouragement.

Last Saturday in India, Dhat defeated home favorite champion Chunnarong Khorean, securing a landmark achievement for Nepal in mixed martial arts.

The government’s decision aims to honor and recognize his remarkable accomplishment.
