Gold & silver prices surge

KATHMANDU: Gold prices rose sharply in the Nepalese market on Sunday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of gold coins increased by Rs 2,900 per tola.

As a result, gold is now trading at Rs 244,600 per tola, up from Rs 241,700 per tola recorded on Friday.

Silver prices also climbed, with the metal now priced at Rs 3,135 per tola, up from Rs 3,100 per tola the previous day, the association reported.
