KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market has surged by Rs 2,200 per tola on Friday compared to the previous trading day, reflecting a continued upward trend in precious metal prices.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has reached Rs 296,900 per tola today.

Market observers say the increase marks a notable jump from Thursday’s rate, further strengthening gold’s bullish momentum in the domestic market amid fluctuations in the international bullion market and exchange rate pressures.

Alongside gold, silver prices have also moved upward. The price of silver has increased by Rs 85 per tola, reaching Rs 4,960 per tola in today’s trading session.
