Gold & silver prices edge lower

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal saw a slight decline on the second trading day of the week, Monday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The price of Chhapawal gold dropped by Rs 400 per tola compared to Sunday.

Gold is now being traded at Rs 296,700 per tola, down from Rs 297,100 per tola on Sunday.

Alongside gold, silver prices also fell on Monday.

The price of silver decreased by Rs 75 per tola, bringing it down to Rs 4,900 per tola from Rs 4,975 per tola recorded on Sunday, the association stated.
