Gold prices drop sharply today

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal saw a notable decline on Thursday after a continuous upward trend.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of gold fell by Rs 2,000 per tola.

As a result, the market rate for standard gold settled at Rs 265,700 per tola, down from Wednesday’s Rs 267,700 per tola.

Silver prices also experienced a dip.

Silver, which traded at a record high of Rs 4,935 per tola on Wednesday, dropped by Rs 100 per tola on Thursday.
