Gold price drops, silver rises

KATHMANDU: In today’s local market, gold prices have fallen while silver rates have increased.

Compared to Monday, gold has decreased by Rs 900 per tola, whereas silver has risen by Rs 25 per tola.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Association, the price of one tola of traditional gold is now Rs 301,900, while one tola of silver is Rs 4,885.

On Monday, gold was priced at Rs 302,800 per tola and silver at Rs 4,860 per tola.

On Sunday, the first day of the week, gold traded at Rs 305,800 per tola and silver at Rs 4,985 per tola.

Meanwhile, international markets report that one ounce of gold is currently trading at USD 4,970 and silver at USD 80 per ounce.
