Gold hits record high in Nepal, Silver prices also rise

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in the Nepali market have surged to a historic high, reaching Rs 221,700 per tola on Tuesday.

This marks a continuous upward trend over the past few days.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, gold prices increased by Rs 3,900 compared to Monday, when it was traded at Rs 217,800 per tola.

Silver prices also saw a rise, climbing Rs 20 from Monday’s Rs 2,660 per tola to Rs 2,680 per tola on Tuesday.

With major festivals like Dashain and Tihar approaching, this record surge in gold prices is expected to directly impact consumers planning to purchase jewelry.
