Global IME Bank, DAI–Uday team up to boost SME finance in Koshi
The MoU was signed by Global IME Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi and DAI–Uday Project Chief of Party Arun Rana.
KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited and the DAI–Uday Project have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen financial access for small and micro enterprises across Koshi Province.
The MoU was signed by Global IME Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi and DAI–Uday Project Chief of Party Arun Rana.
Following the agreement, small and micro businesses operating in Koshi Province will be able to access bank loans more easily through all Global IME Bank branches in the province.
The bank believes the initiative will support business expansion for enterprises facing investment constraints, while also contributing to job creation.
Under the agreement, enterprises selected by the DAI–Uday Project will receive facilitated access to credit from Global IME Bank.
The DAI–Uday Project is being implemented across all districts of Koshi Province with technical support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning of Koshi Province, under a bilateral initiative of the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland.
The project focuses on improving access to finance and business growth for enterprises in sectors such as renewable energy, agro-processing, information technology, tourism, and manufacturing.
