GIBL launches youth financial literacy week
The week-long initiative, running from March 16 to 22, will see the bank organize programs in all seven provinces, aiming to enhance both financial and digital literacy among the youth.
KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) is set to roll out a series of financial literacy programs targeting students and young people across Nepal as part of Global Money Week 2026.
The week-long initiative, running from March 16 to 22, will see the bank organize programs in all seven provinces, aiming to enhance both financial and digital literacy among the youth.
Under the campaign theme “Smart Money Talks”, the bank will host interactive sessions at its branches and disseminate educational materials through its official social media platforms.
Financial literacy programs have been an annual feature at GIBL, with more than 70 branches already conducting sessions this fiscal year.
The programs cover topics such as savings, loans, remittances, digital banking, insurance, investments, additional banking services, financial fraud prevention, and financial discipline.
