KATHMANDU: Police removed a group of ‘Gen Z’ protesters who entered the Federal Parliament building premises in New Baneshwor on Monday afternoon.

The youth-led group had taken to the streets to protest against the social media shutdown and corruption.

Around 10–15 protesters breached the Parliament gate before security personnel intervened and removed them from the premises.

In response to the unrest, the Kathmandu District Administration Office has imposed a curfew in the New Baneshwor area from 12:30 pm to 10 pm to restore order.

Authorities have urged residents to comply with the curfew and avoid the area until the situation stabilizes.
