KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa and Sudurpashchim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah held a meeting on Friday at the party’s central office in Sanepa, where they discussed the current situation of the provincial government and possible political adjustments.

According to Chief Minister Shah, the discussion took place after 11 a.m. and focused on the functioning of the Sudurpashchim provincial government as well as potential shifts in political coordination within the province.

Sources from Shah’s secretariat stated that there are internal preparations underway to include the Nepal Communist Party in the provincial government, indicating a possible expansion or reconfiguration of the ruling coalition.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shah also met earlier this week with CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli.

The secretariat confirmed that the meeting took place, though details of the discussion were not disclosed.
