KATHMANDU: The construction of a trekking route is underway along the Kaligandaki River bank in Nawalparasi in a bid to foster religious and touristy activities in the corridor.

Baudikali Rural Municipality kicked off the project from the Balighat area, aiming to attract visitors in the area.

Prakash Ojha, chairman of the Rural Municipality, shared that this initiative would promote tourism that would thrive on scenic beauty and rich religious heritages.

“The trekking route being constructed with the bewitching sight in the vicinity borders religious sites and natural wonders,” he explained. As part of a long-term vision, the rural municipality plans to connect the route to several major locations, including Balighat Aapbagaincha, Kaligandaki Bar-Peepal Swamichautari, Gaindalpa Waterfall, and Chamkeodar.
