24 injured as bus overturns on in Bajura
Police confirmed that all injured are receiving necessary treatment.
KATHMANDU: At least 24 passengers were injured when a passenger bus overturned in the Bajura, Budhiganga Municipality–08, Rithabazar area along the Sanphebagar–Martadi road section on Sunday morning.
According to police, the accident occurred at around 7:10 AM when a bus (registration number Su.Pra. 01–001 Kha 1355), heading from Mahendranagar to Martadi, suddenly suffered a brake failure and veered off the road before falling onto the left-side roadside ditch.
Immediately after the incident, security personnel from the temporary police post in Rithabazar, Barjugad Police Post, and the District Police Office Bajura reached the scene and carried out rescue operations.
Out of the 24 injured passengers, 23 have been sent to the District Hospital Martadi for treatment, while one critically injured person has been referred to the Provincial Hospital Bayalpata for further medical care.

There were 33 people on board the bus, including the driver.
24 passengers sustained injuries, while 9 escaped unharmed.
Authorities have stated that further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the accident.
